Compassion

It`s true. We forgot about the others, about our dear Earth, about compassion and somehow about love too. Is it the satisfaction of counting piles of money greater than helping someone in need? Is it greater that making someone smile? Well, it`s not! Open your eyes! Money is just energy. Where`s the old you? That beautiful kid who could do everything for anyone? The little one who would`ve taken home every single poor, hungry dog on the street? The lil` one who ran as fast as he could to hug his friends or just to wave and smile if they moved out or left for a long trip? The one who shared his candies or the one dollar he had with the first homeless person he met on his way home?

Where are you? Who are you now? Do you speak human? Or is it money-language the only one you know? Come back! Come back and give love a chance!

Yesterday someone showed me the way to the station. He was a little puzzled when I bought something to eat and gave it to a person in need. He asked me why I`ve done that.
"Well, he seemed hungry."
"But that`s not the way it is! You can`t just buy something for him."
"Why not? I don`t think he could`ve bought that for himself."
"So what? It`s not your problem."
"...?!"
"I don`t get you."
"He one of us. I`ve eaten today. I`m not sure he did. It`s weird how people pass by, with their headphones on, completely ignoring the background."
He left.

Indifference? Could be. But why to stand in front of the big, grey wall waiting for...(what?) for someone to come, for something to happen to change our lives, when we can be that something?
Let`s resotre faith in humanity! Let`s make people smile!
