Hipster teens

"What`s up with those?"

"Mmm... dunno. Some almost normal teens minding their own business. Why?"

"They seem really into this fashion-thingy."

"More or less. I guess they feel lonely. They need attention, maybe love. They want to be and to act different, but they still want to be accepted in the society. They also have those so-many questions about their identity - their true self. They seem kind`v lost to me. I want them to be honest and real at least to themselves. Being shallow and the "I don`t care about anything" brat doesn`t seem to work. They have a lot of potential and it wouldn`t be okay to waste it on being cool enough for their next so-called real friends. I presume it`s not a phase."

"Now I don`t get you!"

"It`s about finding your place here. It`s about finding or redescovering your family and those people who can make you feel not only better, but at your best when they are around. The ones with whom you can have the worst hair day and look like a nasty, filthy rug, who`d  still stop on their way home, smile and have a chat with you. I don`t think this is a whim. It`s more like a hellooo! I`m here! Can you hear me? I`m your daughter/son. Oh! And look you are my weekend-parents. Nice to meet you, pah, mom! Way to go!"

"Yeah, indeed. But not all of them are like that, you know."

"Most of  `em. Trust me, I`ve been there too."
